All-America Honors Roll In For Snyder
June 16, 2014
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Coriann Snyder concluded her Long Beach State water polo career with Honorable Mention on the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches All-American team. The honor is the second of Snyder’s career and marks the third consecutive year of the 49ers being represented on an All-American team.
Snyder, a Porterville, Calif. native, became the first repeat All-American for the Long Beach State women’s water polo program since Cassie Azevedo earned her second All-American nod in 2005 and a third nod in 2006. She is only the fifth 49er in LBSU’s women’s water polo history to be named to multiple All-America teams during her career.
The defender enjoyed her best season as a 49er in 2014. She netted 51 goals this year for the 49ers, which was just one off the team lead. Snyder’s First Team selection is the third All-Big West honor of her career but the first time she was nabbed a spot on the First Team. In the last match of the regular season, Snyder put five goals in the net against UC Irvine, duplicating her output from earlier in the year in a blowout win over Chapman. She was the only 49er to score five times in a match this season and did so twice. She finished her career with 153 goals, which ranks sixth all-time.
Snyder’s career with Long Beach State concluded in April. She was an All-Big West first team selection while leading LBSU to a 19-12 overall record and a fourth-place finish in the Big West Conference.
