Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State plays host to the final seven games of the Big West season, as the Campus Pool serves as the site for the 2010 Big West Tournament beginning at 4 p.m. Friday.

The 49ers, entering as the No. 6 seed, play in the second game of the day against No. 3 UC Santa Barbara at 5:45, while No. 4 UC Irvine and No. 5 UC Davis kick off the tournament with a 4 p.m. start.

The winners today will play the top two seeds on Saturday, with start times again at 4 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Pacific plays the winner of the first match as the top seed, while No. 2 CS Northridge will play the winner of the Long Beach State-UC Santa Barbara contest.

The tournament will then conclude on Sunday, with a fifth-place match starting off three games on the day at Noon. Losers of Saturday's semifinals will play at 2 p.m., and the championship game is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.

Long Beach State is led by sophomore Krizia Cerda, who ranks fourth in the conference in goals scored with 45 on the season. Junior Lauren Sieprath is second on the team with 32 goals, while the defense is anchored by junior Kristen Stragier, who has move 200 saves on the season.
