Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State hosts the home portion of its Big West schedule this weekend, bringing in Pacific and No. 10 UC Davis to the Campus Pool this weekend for two games beginning at Noon on April 7 and 8.
Long Beach State has outscored its opponents in 2012 174 to 169, despite having an overall record at 10-13, and 0-2 in the Big West. The 49ers will start the weekend against another team looking for its first Big West win in the Tigers.
The three leading scorers for the 49ers have all already topped their previous season bests in 2012. Junior Melissa Matheson leads all scorers with 35 goals this season, while sophomores Chelsea Parks and Coriann Snyder come in with 32 and 28 goals this season for The Beach.
After this weekend, the 49ers have one more Big West match at No. 6 UC Irvine, and then finish the regular season on the road at Loyola Marymount before heading to the Big West Tournament, which will be hosted by the Aggies starting on April 27.
