Water Polo Heads To Michigan For Wolverine Invitational
LBSU heads to Michigan to play four games in three days.
Long Beach, Calif. – No. 17 Long Beach State will travel to Michigan this weekend to compete at the Wolverine Invitational.
It will be LBSU’s final tournament before beginning conference play on March 10.
The Beach (3-8) will open invitational play against Azusa Pacific University (8-4) on Friday at 5 p.m. APU is led by Britni Tisdale and Britt Harris who lead the team with 18 and 19 goals respectively.
Following its match against APU, LBSU will be back in action Saturday morning at 8:20 a.m. when the Beach takes on Bucknell.
LBSU’s day will not be done there as the Beach takes on host No. 9 Michigan at 3:25 p.m. It’ll be the second time LBSU takes on the Wolverines in a week after dropping an 8-6 game Feb. 24 at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational.
Following their game against Michigan, the Beach will conclude play at the Wolverine Invitational with a 11:30 a.m. match against Iona.
