Massier scored her second of the match with a tip-in goal off a pass from Morrissey with the 6-on-5 man advantage. Freshman Karley Kraft also had a breakaway goal, putting LBSU up 5-0 in the first period.

Senior Alison Quincy broke Chapman’s silence with a goal inside, but the Panthers still trailed 5-1 going into the second period.

The Beach had another quick start in the second, scoring three goals in the first two minutes.

This period also started with a 5-meter penalty shot for LBSU, which sophomore Daniela Screnci buried. In the next Beach possession, Brooks received a pass on the inside, drew Chapman goalie Kerry Goodspeed to her, and floated the ball into the opposite side of the goal, giving Brooks her second goal of the match.

LBSU drew another 5-meter penalty, and sophomore Emily Garczynski scored the goal to give the 49ers an 8-1 lead with 6:07 left in the second period. Five minutes went by until the next goal, which came inside from Beach senior Emily Matheson to give her team the 9-1 lead going into the half.

Smith grabbed her 30th goal of the season inside, putting the Beach up 10-1 early in the third period. The Beach scored two goals late in the shot clock from both Morrissey and Matheson, who netted their second goals of the match.
