The Long Beach State women's tennis team will travel to San Diego this weekend to compete in its final tournament of the fall season, the ITA West Regionals, which will take place Oct. 17-21. The 49ers begin play tomorrow as players will compete in both singles and doubles matches. Sophomore Ebba Unden received the highest seed for LBSU in singles as she was placed at No. 15. She received a first-round bye and will face the winner of Megan Sandford (Cal State Fullerton) and Kaiulani Boyer (UCSB). Freshman Julie Gerard also received a first-round bye and she will face USC's Paige Keating. Gabriela Tilkeridisova will play the winner of the match between UC Riverside's Jasmine Almaguer and SDSU's Tamitha Nguyen.
