LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Big West Conference announced its 2017 Women's Tennis All-Conference Team on Thursday, with four Beach Tennis players recognized. Leading the way was senior Maeva Razakasoa, who was once again named First Team All-Big West in singles. Razakasoa becomes just the second player in program history to claim that honor all four years of her LBSU career, joining Hall of Famer Hannah Grady (2006-09).

Also in singles, senior Julie Gerard was named Second Team All-Big West and junior Lena Pacholski picked up an Honorable Mention nod in her first season with the Beach. Long Beach State has had at least three singles players on the All-Big West team in each of the last 17 seasons, dating back to 2001.

The Beach also had two doubles teams recognized, with the pair of Razakasoa and Gerard picking up a First Team nod after their Second Team doubles selection a season ago. Rounding out the honors were Pacholski and senior Laura Eales, checking in with an Honorable Mention doubles selection.

In addition to Razakasoa being a four-time First Team selection, LBSU's other seniors also received their fourth All-Big West honor this season. Gerard is now a four-time All-Big West selection in singles and Eales has made the All-Big West team in doubles all four years at Long Beach State.

Razakasoa and Gerard finish their Long Beach State careers as the two winningest singles players in program history. On the singles wins leaderboard, Razakasoa is best all-time with 106 singles wins, while Gerard is a close second at 104. They are also both in the top six in overall wins at the Beach; Razakasoa is in third with 179 total victories and Gerard is sixth with 175.
