Anais Dallara joins Jing Chen and Hannah Grady to represent the 49ers in singles.

Long Beach, Calif. - Big West Player of the Year Anais Dallara was selected by the NCAA as one of 64 players to compete for the NCAA Individual singles championship, which will be held following the conclusion of the team championships from May 23-28.

Dallara earned automatic selection into the 64-player draw as a ranked player from the Big West Conference, one of 14 players to earn an automatic bid. In 2012, Dallara posted an 8-0 regular season record against the Big West, and on the season she went 6-5 against ranked opponents, including wins over No. 55 Stephanie Hoffpauir of San Diego and No. 60 Khunpak Issara of Pepperdine.

Dallara is the third 49er to receive an invitation as an individual to the NCAA Women's Tennis Championships. Jing Chen went 1-1 in 1998, while Hannah Grady was invited in 2006 and 2008. The NCAA has not announced a draw for the tournament.
