Senior Anais Dallara was named the Big West Player of the Year following a season where she went undefeated in singles against conference opponents, while Jenny Hilt-Costello merited her seventh Big West Coach of the Year selection after leading the 49ers to their ninth Big West Conference championship.

Dallara set a number of Long Beach State records in her senior season, and joins a tremendous list of 49er greats to be selected as the Big West Player of the Year. A three-time first-team All-Big West selection, Dallara went 10-0 against Big West opponents at No. 1 singles, and broke Long Beach State's career singles wins record, set currently at 97. Her 29 wins in 2012 are a single-season record, and she enters the NCAA tournament ranked as the No. 101 singles player in the country.

Dallara joins Hannah Grady, Anastasia Dvornikova, and Jing Chen as Long Beach State players to be selected as the Big West Player of the Year.

In addition to her Player of the Year honors, Dallara was also named first-team All-Big West in singles, and was joined by fellow senior Rachel Manasse. Manasse also earned first-team All-Big West doubles honors with her partner, freshman Laura Bernard. Manasse and Dallara were both honored as All-Big West in all four years of their careers.

Also honored in doubles were Dallara and her partner Klaudia Malenovska, who were selected for the second-team All-Big West, giving the 49ers four players honored in either the first or second team.

Jenny Hilt-Costello earned her seventh Big West Coach of the Year honors after leading the 49ers to their ninth Big West Championship, and the eighth in the last nine seasons. Hilt-Costello and the 49ers were undefeated in the regular season and the Big West Tournament, going 11-0, marking the fifth time since 2006 that the 49ers have gone unbeaten in regular season conference action. Long Beach State's nine conference championships are a Big West record, and Hilt-Costello has helmed the 49ers to all nine.

Iveta Masarova of Pacific was selected as the Big West Freshman of the Year in the other top honor.
