Klaudia Malenovska Earns Big West Player of the Week Award
Malenovska has been honored three times in her career, good for 11th all-time in Big West History

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Senior Klaudia Malenovska was selected as the Big West Player of the Week for women's tennis as announced by the conference office today.
Malenovska went 5-1 at the Beach Winter Invitational over the weekend, capping off the tournament with a three-set victory over No. 74 Michaela Bezdickova of New Mexico, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 on Sunday. Malenovska also won on Friday against Nevada's Michelle Okhremchuk, splitting the first two sets, 4-6, 7-6 (5) before Okhremchuk retired. Her lone loss came to Julyette Steur of Colorado, 6-2, 7-5 on Saturday.
At the No. 2 doubles position, Malenovka and partner Sarah Cantlay went 3-0, taking down Quevedo/Manzi Tenorio of Colorado, 9-8 (4), New Mexico's Eggleston/Sablina, 8-0 and finally Stevens/Smiley of Nevada, 8-3.
This is the third time in Malenovska's career that she's been awarded Player of the Week honors, tying her for 11th all-time in Big West history. Her previous two awards came in the 2011 season.
