No. 46 Long Beach State won its fifth match in a row with a 6-1 victory over UNC Greensboro Friday afternoon.

In their first match in North Carolina, the 49ers (7-1, 4-0 Big West) earned wins at both the No. 1 and 2 spots in doubles to win the first point of the match. Karolina Rozenberg and Ebba Unden beat Kayla Gammie and Annette Rios 8-2 while Klaudia Malenovska and Sarah Cantlay won 8-3 over Niltooli Wilkins and Alex Whitehead. The Spartans (2-3, 0-0 Southern Conference) were able to grab the win at the No. 3 spot as Hazuki Onaga and Anne-Sophie Willems fell 8-7 (7-3) to Stephanie Falcon and Dilara Yurtkuran.

In singles play, Eva Rodriguez won her first set 6-2 before Annette Rios retired, giving Rodriguez the win. Sarah Cantlay then defeated Alex Whitehead 6-1, 6-2 at the No. 3 spot putting LBSU up 3-0 early. Karolina Rozenberg won 6-3, 6-1 over Kayla Gammie to clinch the fifth win in a row for the 49ers. Anne-Sophie Willems won her third straight singles match by defeating Soumeya Anane 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 6 spot and Ebba Unden picked up the final LBSU point with her 7-6 (7-3), 2-6, 1-0 (10-5) win over Dilara Yurtkuran. Niltooli Wilkins won the lone point for UNCG with her 7-5, 6-3 win over Klaudia Malenovska.
