Gulf Shores, Ala. - Both of Long Beach State's remaining pairs reached championship bracket at the AVCA National Championships Sunday, but each bowed out in the Round of 16 to conclude the 2014 season.

The closest match of the day came with Delainey Aigner-Swesey and Bojana Todorovic, who pushed Karissa Cook and Brittany Tiegs to a third set in a tight match, ultimately falling 21-17, 16-21, 15-12 to the Hawai'i duo that went on to reach the finals.

Janisa Johnson and Tyler Jackson, seeded fifth, lost in an upset to Nikki Taylor and Katie Spieler of Hawai'i, falling 21-9, 21-12.
