Long Beach State Loses In Championship Match To Hawai’i

The Beach fell twice on Saturday 3-2 to the Rainbow Wahine.

Long Beach State Beach Volleyball (2017): Went 4-0 in four matches played in 2017, all at No. 4 … Went 3-0 with Hannah Matt and played one match with Anete Brinke … Won 21-13, 21-10 against Irvine Valley with Matt, and then played with Brinke in the second match of the same day, Making 10 kills on 12 swings against Manzanares/Busler of CSU Bakersfield … Made four aces in a 21-5, 21-13 win over Bato/Kushner of CSULA … Closed the season with a 21-15, 21-18 win over Adelman/Peterman of Colorado-Mesa.

(2016): Went 6-23 overall for the Beach, playing the most dual matches on the season at No. 2 … Posted a 5-17 record with Jenelle Hudson, her primary partner … Started the season paired with Mykah Wilson, and the duo went 0-5 before the switch … Won 21-9, 21-12 at No. 1 with Morea Wagner against Ames/Flynn of Concordia … Made a season high 16 kills with 11 digs in a three set loss to Turner/Wachowicz of Grand Canyon … Led the team on the season with 36 blocks.

Long Beach State Volleyball: Played in 10 matches for the Beach as a freshman, primarily as a serving specialist … Finished the year with three aces … Did not play indoor in 2016 or 2017.

High School: A member of the Cyprus National Team for the last four years and previously a member of the junior national team … Voted the Best Young Player in Cyprus of all national team sports … Also plays for Apollon Limassol in the top volleyball club circuit in Cyprus … Helped her team to a 2015 women’s championship.

Personal: Majoring in environmental science.
