Both of Long Beach State's remaining pairs reached championship bracket at the AVCA National Championships Sunday, but each bowed out in the Round of 16 to conclude the 2014 season.
Tyler Jackson and Janisa Johnson were automatic qualifiers for the championship bracket, while Delainey Aigner-Swesey and Bojana Todorovic were play-in winners to qualify, but both teams advanced Saturday, making the 49ers the only school outside of the Final Four to have two players represented.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association has announced the ten "Best of the Rest" teams that will join the team competitors for the 2014 Sand Volleyball Pairs Championships. Both Delainey Aigner-Swesey and Bojana Todorovic as well as Tyler Jackson and Janisa Johnson were invited to compete, representing Long Beach State.
