LONG BEACH, CA -- Long Beach State softball head coach Pete Manarino
announced that four student-athletes have signed National Letters of
Intent to play for Long Beach State for the 2004-05 season on Friday.
Manarino received commitments from Jennifer Martinez, a pitcher out
of La Habra HS (La Habra, Calif); Jessica Beaver, a shortstop from Hemet
HS (Hemet, Calif.); Kristen Miller, a catcher out of Diamond Bar HS
(Diamond Bar, Calif.); and Brooke Lesage, a catcher out of Corona HS
(Corona, Calif.).
“We’re very excited about this year’s class,”
commented Manarino. “We are losing a good nucleus (seniors) after
this year. But this will be a good freshman class that will make an
impact on our program.”
