In its first game of the day, LBSU was in control from start to finish. The team got on the board in the third inning after a single by Karli Sandoval drove in Shayna Kimbrough and Emily Gregorio for two runs. Ashley Holmes then singled down the left field line to bring in Hannah De Gaetano as the 49ers ended the third inning up 3-0.

De Gaetano then doubled to left field in the bottom of the fifth, which brought in Kimbrough and Brianna Stephan to give LBSU a 5-0 lead. Nevada was able to score a run in the top of the sixth, but LBSU tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the sixth led off by a Stephan double that brought in Gregorio. Stephan then scored a run on a throwing error, which also brought home Darian Tautalafua as the 49ers went up 8-1 heading into the top of the seventh inning. Nevada could not score and the game ended with the 49ers winning 8-1.
