49ers and Denver End in Scoreless Tie

HONOLULU-- Long Beach State (2-0-1) and No. 23-ranked Denver (2-0-1) played to a scoreless tie after two overtime periods on the second day of the Ohana Hotel Shootout, hosted by the University of Hawaii.
The 49ers out shot the Pioneers 12-to-6 in the match, but Denver goalkeeper Mackenzie Snyder made six saves, including three in the second half and another in the final 10 minutes to keep it scoreless.
The defending Sun Belt Champions managed just one shot on goal, as Breanna Truelove posted her second shutout of the season.
The 49ers return home to host four in a row starting on Friday.
