Beach Has 13 Athletes Named to Big West Fall All-Academic Team

A total of 13 LBSU student-athletes from four different sports earned a place on the Big West Fall All-Academic Team.

2016 (Sophomore): Saw action in 14 matches for the Beach with one start for a total of 386 minutes ... Earned her only start of the year in a game against San Diego on Sept. 16 ... Tallied one shot in the match against DePaul on Sept. 11 ...Helped the Beach defense total nine shutout victories to rank second in the Big West Conference.

2015 (Freshman): Appeared in 16 games and made six starts ... Totaled four shot attempts .. Registered her first career assist in a 2-0 win at Cal Poly on Oct. 8.

High School: Four-year letterwinner and three-time team captain at Chaparral High School ... Led the Pumas to the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Division II playoffs as a junior and senior ... Tabbed the 2015 Southwestern League Defensive Player of the Year and named to the Press-Enterprise All-Area Team ... Also garnered first-team all-league honors as a junior ... Two-time All-CIF selection.

Club: Played club soccer for DMCV Sharks Elite ... Won the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship in 2013 (U16) and 2014 (U17) ... Also advanced to the U18 national title match in 2015, claiming runner-up honors ... Two-time National Cup and National League champions.

Personal: Brother, Monty, played four years of soccer at College of the Holy Cross ... Majoring in kinesiology.
