Anton Arrache begins his first season as an assistant coach at Long Beach State after serving as an administrative assistant for the 49ers last year. Arrache has been a coach on the club scene with both Beach Futbol Club and Real So Cal Club. While an assistant with Real So Cal, he helped his team advance to the US Youth Soccer Regionals from 2009-11. Arrache was also a coach at Garces Memorial High School (Bakersfield) where he led the squad to the 2010 CIF Central Section championship. In addition, he has served as a Cal South Olympic Development Program scout. As a player, Arrache was a member of the National Premier Soccer League from 2005-07. While with the Southern California Fusion, he won a league championship in 2007. Arrache also played internationally for CD Baztan in Spain from 2007-08. He started his collegiate career at Loyola Marymount in 2002 before transferring to San Diego Mesa College the following year. Arrache graduated from San Diego State with a bachelor's degree in finance in 2007 and is currently working toward his master's in sport management at Long Beach State. |
