Lindsey McAtee Ties For 51st

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- The Long Beach State women's golf team finished
in 18th
place at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The 49ers shot a 311 in Wednesday's
final round to finish with a three-day score of 943. The University of
Denver won the overall title, which was held at the Angel Park Mountain
Golf Course,
with a 858. Arizona finished second at 869 and Kent State third at 874.
Leading the way for the 49ers was freshman Lindsey McAtee. After shooting
a two-over 74 on Tuesday, she followed that with a one-over 73 and tied
for 51st place with a 228 (81-74-73). Freshman Reina Rogers tied for
75th place with a 236 (83-76-7) and Kylie Kimura tied for 80th place
with a 241 (78-83-80).
The overall individual winner was Denver's Katie Kempter who shot an
eight-under 208 (67-69-72). Chelsea Benton (Denver) and Alison Walshe
(Arizona) tied for second at 211.
This was the final fall tournament for the 49er women. They will next
be in action on February 25-26 at the Fresno State Invitational.
