Park Advances to Round of 64 Match Play at U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship
Junior golfer ties for 34th place in two-day stroke play

NORMAN, Okla. - Long Beach State junior Chaewon Park carded an even-72 in Tuesday's final round of stroke play at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship to advance to match play at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
The Torrance, Calif. native advances to the round of 64 after recording a 36-hole score of 5-over par 149 to tie for 34th place.
The 2013 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship consists of 36 holes of stroke play followed by six rounds of match play, with the championship scheduled to conclude with a 36-hole final on Saturday.
The U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association, 10 of which are strictly for amateurs.
Park improved by five shots from her opening round of 77 on Monday at par-72, 6,351-yard Perry Maxwell-designed course.
Park recorded three birdies and 12 pars on Tuesday, while collecting just three bogies for the round.
Fellow 49er teammate sophomore Shawnee Martinez finished at 17-over 161 after shooting rounds of 82 and 79.
