Beach Falls To 12th Place On Final Day At Coeur D'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - Long Beach State recorded a team high 304 in Wednesday's final round of the Coeur d'Alene Resort Collegiate Invitational, finishing in 12th place at the Coeur d'Alene Golf Course.

LBSU completed the two-day tournament with a three-round score of 29-over-par 881.  The Beach fell three spots in the standings after finishing the second round tied for ninth with San Francisco at 9-over.

Colorado captured the team title with an 18-under 834, as the Buffaloes led the 18-team field by seven shots over second-place Illinois (-11) and 20 strokes over BYU (+2) in third.

Junior Cara Barker was the top player for the Beach, shooting a 75 to tie for 31st at 5-over 218. 

Senior Savannah Knox carded a 76, finishing at 10-over 223 tying for 51st, while junior Haley Tygret shot an 81, tying for 54th at 11-over.

Sophomore Euna Pak tied for 61st after shooting a 74 at 12-over 225, followed by senior Jennifer Yu tying for 64th at 13-over after carding a 79.

The Buffaloes' Kirsty Hodgkins won individual medalist honors with a 10-under 203, leading the field of 90 players by four shots over two players tied for second.

LBSU returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 22, taking part in the three-day Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
