Umpant fires career, tournament low 68 in final round
2010-11: Played in nine tournaments for LBSU with a stroke average of 75.48 ... One top-20 finish in the fall, tying for 16th place at the Lamkin Grip Invitational at 9-over-par 155 ... Opened the spring season winning her first career tournament at the Gold Rush hosted by LBSU with a 3-over at the Yorba Linda Country Club ... Tied for second at the Folino Invitational (+4) and helped the 49ers win its first team title since 2009 ... Tied for eighth at the Anteater Invitational at 10-over ... Recorded a season low 72 twice ... Named Big West Golfer of the Month for February ... Selected to first-team All-Big West.
2009-10: Competed in all eight tournaments for the 49ers finishing with a stroke average of 76.36 ... Began her 49er career, firing an opening round of 69 at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. ... Recorded two top-10 finishes and one top-20 ... Tied for 10th place at the Turtle Bay Invitational in Hawaii with a 2-over-par 218 ... Placed third at the Big West Conference Championship in San Luis Obispo with a 9-over 225 ... Finished just one stroke behind first place at Big West ... First Team All-Big West ... Top player for LBSU in three of eight tournaments they played in.
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Rancho Cucamonga HS in 2008 ... Played all four years on the boys golf team under head coach Pat Pugh.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Richard and Josie Hoey ... Younger sister of former 49er All-American Kay Hoey ... Major is undecided.
