Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State will host Pepperdine in the second dual match ever for the 49ers at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sand Volleyball Courts.
The 49ers won their first ever Sand Volleyball match last Tuesday, sweeping Loyola Marymount 5-0 and not dropping a set in that contest.
Wednesday's match will be the first-ever dual for Pepperdine, but the Waves performed well at the USC Sand Volleyball Tournament last weekend, which featured both teams as well as USC and Florida State. The Waves performed well on all three days, winning three rounds of flight play in between teams on Saturday, and had two teams reach the semifinals in the pairs play championship, as Racich-Ross knocked out Adelhelm-Woolever .
Long Beach State will play two more home matches next week, facing Loyola Marymount once more on Monday, March 26 before playing USC on Wednesday, March 28.
