Oct. 24, 2012
LONG BEACH - The Long Beach State women's basketball team will hold an open practice, followed by a clinic for women ages 30 and up, at the Walter Pyramid on Saturday, Oct. 27.
The 49ers are welcoming the community to attend and watch their practice from 8-10 a.m., as they continue to prepare for their season opener against Sacramento State (Nov. 9). Long Beach State returns eight letterwinners and two redshirts from last year, while it also introduces three newcomers to the program. Fans will have a chance to meet the team at the end of practice.
The LBSU coaching staff will also hold a free clinic for adult women (ages 30+) from approximately 10-11 a.m. Head coach Jody Wynn and her staff is entering their fourth year at Long Beach State. They have led the 49ers to a Big West Tournament berth in each of their first three seasons, including an appearance in the 2012 Big West championship game.
