July 27, 2010
LONG BEACH - Long Beach State women's basketball head coach Jody Wynn has announced the signing of Sendy Valles to a financial aid agreement. Valles will join the 49ers for the 2010-11 season. "We are thrilled about the addition of Sendy Valles to our Beach family," said Wynn. "She is a very versatile player and a fierce competitor who will bring toughness to the court." Valles, a 6-0 guard from Milliken, Colo., played three years at Roosevelt High School before transferring to Highlands Ranch High School her senior year. Valles was a four-time all-state, all-area and all-league selection. She was also tabbed the area and league MVP three years in a row. Valles left Roosevelt HS as the all-time leader in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. Valles was also a three-year letterwinner in both volleyball and track, while playing two years of AAU basketball for the Boulder Rockies.
