Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State will welcome Tennessee to the Walter Pyramid on Sunday, December 17, one of four home games for LBSU in addition to the Beach Classic, which also returns to the schedule in 2017-18.

The Beach will begin the season with a trio of home games. The season begins on Friday, November 10, when Pepperdine comes to the Walter Pyramid, and then Montana State and Loyola Marymount will then come by during the following week.

The highlight of the schedule will be Long Beach State's seventh meeting with Tennessee, however, as the Lady Volunteers come to Long Beach for the first time since 1989. The game pits two teams together that both reached the NCAA Tournament last season in 2016-17.

Also making its return to the schedule after a one-year hiatus is the Beach Classic. The tournament will return to a four-team format, as Long Beach State will open against Illinois State, while New Mexico State and Northeastern will complete the field. The winners will then face each other while a consolation game will also be played.

That is one of three non-conference tournaments that the Beach will participate in during the 2017-18 campaign. The team will also travel to Missoula, Mont. to participate in the Lady Griz Classic, and will head east to play in a tournament hosted by NJIT with Penn and VCU also playing part.

Other non-conference road games of note include a pair of Pac-12 opponents in USC and Arizona, as well as games at San Diego and Grand Canyon.

The conference campaign begins with a four-game road swing, before the Big West home opener against UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, January 20.

For those wishing to reserve their spot in the Walter Pyramid for head coach Jeff Cammon's debut season, season ticket deposits are being accepted now through the Long Beach State ticket office or at
