Cammon has hired three assistants and a Director of Basketball Operations to complete his staff.

Laura Dinkins is in her first season as an assistant coach at Long Beach State after being hired in 2017.

Dinkins comes to the Beach after spending three seasons at Fresno State. During her time at Fresno State, the Bulldogs reached the second round of the WNIT in each of her first two seasons, and fell just short of the NCAA Tournament in 2016-17 after reaching the Mountain West Tournament Championship Game.

Prior to her time at Fresno State, Dinkins worked at Idaho State where she coached four players that earned All-Big Sky honors and 11 student-athletes that were named to the Big-Sky All-Academic team.

Dinkins also served as an assistant coach at Northern Arizona, her alma mater.

While a student-athlete at Northern Arizona, Dinkins was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year and ranks second in Lumberjack history with 714 rebounds in her career, and fell just 30 points shy of 1,000 career points. She also played a program record 1,144 minutes during the 2007-08 season and was a member of the 2005-06 team that won Northern Arizona's first Big Sky Championship, earning a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Following her graduation from Northern Arizona with a Bachelor's Degree in health sciences in 2008, Dinkins went on to play two seasons of professional basketball in Europe. She played in Germany for the Chem Cats and helped the team earn a Division II Championship. She also played a season in The Netherlands for the Perik Jumpers.

Dinkins is originally from Rialto, Calif.
