NORRISTOWN, PA-- Three Long Beach State men's water polo players
earned All-America honors from the American Water Polo Coaches
Association (AWPCA).
Senior Aaron Holloway (El Segundo, CA) was named second team
All-America, while junior Nathan Allard (La Habra, CA) and
sophomore Erik Geoffroy (Roosmoor, CA) earned Honorable Mention
honors. Allard finished the season with 56 goals, second-best
on the team, and was a third team All-MPSF selection. Allard,
also a third team All-MPSF pick, finished with 41 goals in
2002. Geoffroy, in his first year as a starter for the 49ers,
led the 49ers in scoring with 69 goals, the fourth-best single
season mark in 49er history. Geoffroy was an Honorable Mention
All-MPSF pick in 2002.
Long Beach State finished the season at 17-16 overall, took
seventh place at the MPSF Tournament and finished ranked #7
in the nation.
