Aleksandar Petrovic named honorable mention All-MPSF
Nov. 29, 2011 Long Beach, Calif - Aleksandar Petrovic has been named honorable mention All-MPSF after leading the 49ers in scoring with 53 goals. The six foot, five inch defender from Nis, Serbia set a career-high in goals this season, besting his previous career high of 35 goals as a sophomore. The lone senior on the 49ers water polo team averaged 2.04 goals per game. He scored a career-high six goals in a loss against UC Irvine and also had two games of five goals scored and four times this year he scored four goals in a match. Petrovic finished his career 13th all-time in goals at Long Beach State with 140. This is the second time in his career he was named honorable mention All-MPSF. He also received the honor after his sophomore season. In 2010, Petrovic scored 30 goals and was the second-leading scorer for LBSU and in 2008 he scored 22 goals as a freshman.
