Men's Water Polo Falls At No. 4 California
No. 9 Long Beach State outscored the Golden Bears down the stretch, but couldn't overcome a slow start in a 15-10 loss to No. 4 California in the second match of the NorCal Tournament for the 49ers. Dimitrios Lappas scored three goals to lead the 49ers.

To reach the pool at Golden West, exit the 405 freeway at Golden West St., and then after going south on Golden West, turn left on McFadden, right onto Gothard St., and then park in the parking lot on the right hand side. Walk straight onto campus, keeping the track to your right hand side, the pool will be just past the men's Locker room on the right.

That match will begin at Noon, Standard Time, as clocks "fall back" from Daylight Savings Time that morning.

Before Sunday's game however, the 49ers will play a crucial MPSF matchup with Pepperdine on the road in Malibu, taking on the Waves at Noon on Saturday. The 49ers will look to keep in front of Pepperdine in the standings as well as help their own cause with a win.
