The Beach Prepares To Face Two Top-10 Teams
No. 7 Long Beach State will take on No. 9 Pepperdine and No. 2 UCLA.
Long Beach, Calif. — No. 7 Long Beach State hits the road this weekend for a Golden Coast Conference match-up against No. 9 Pepperdine before heading to Los Angeles to face No. 2 UCLA Saturday night.
The Beach (9-7, 0-1) will try to get back to .500 when they take on the Waves (13-8). Last year, LBSU defeated Pepperdine 7-4.
Nemanja Bakic led the Beach to the win with two goals.
This year, the Waves are led by Marko Asic and Mark Urban, who have combined for 79 goals.
On Saturday, LBSU will travel to Los Angeles to take on No 2. UCLA (13-1).
In last year’s match-up the Bruins won in front of a standing-room only crowd at Lindgren Aquatics Center.
This year the Bruins ae led by Nicolas Saveljic and Max Irving who have combined to score 50 goals.
