LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach State men's and women's water polo teams will hold its Inaugural Black & Goal Benefit on May 4th at a private residence in Bixby Knolls.
The banquet will begin at 3 p.m. Cost for the banquet is $50 per person, $50 to sponsor an athlete, or $500 to sponsor a table.
The inaugural event will feature silent and live auctions. Vacation homes in Cabo San Lucas and a Northern California Buffalo Ranch highlight the live auction portion of the event.
Music entertainment will be provided by Grammy nominated artists Anne Walsh and Tom Zink while wine will be discussed by the Sommeliers from the Wilmore Wine Bar.
The men's water polo team are coming off their second-best finish in program history finishing 24-8 overall and 4-4 in MPSF play, good for fifth in the nation.
Like their male counter-parts, the women's team currently owns a 21-4 overall record and 2-2 in Big West play, good for second-best in program history, with seven matches remaining including the conference tournament.
