Long Beach, Calif. - Connor Reilly scored the game winning goal at the 1:34 minute mark in the first overtime period putting Long Beach State up 9-8. The freshman's goal broke an 8-8 tie.
Sophomore Nick Rascon tied the game, 8-8, with seven seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, sending the game into overtime.
The first period was full of offense, as the quarter ended with LBSU holding A 5-4 lead. The second and third quarters had only one goal scored by each team, resulting in a 7-6 lead for the 49ers entering the last period.
The 49ers, 11-6, host Concordia (Irvine) on Saturday at 12 pm.
