Long Beach, Calif. - Connor Reilly scored the game winning goal at the 1:34 minute mark in the first overtime period putting Long Beach State up 9-8. The freshman's goal broke an 8-8 tie.

Sophomore Nick Rascon tied the game, 8-8, with seven seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, sending the game into overtime.

The first period was full of offense, as the quarter ended with LBSU holding A 5-4 lead. The second and third quarters had only one goal scored by each team, resulting in a 7-6 lead for the 49ers entering the last period.

Freshman Milos Vrzic and sophomore Nathan McConnell had a team high two-goals each in the contest. Devin Mefford, Brian Schiefer, Rascon, and Reilly totaled the other goals for LBSU.

John Mroch totaled three saves in his two quarters of action, while Matthew Kubeck has five saves in the second half and the two overtime periods.

The 49ers, 11-6, host Concordia (Irvine) on Saturday at 12 pm.
