Gorham came to LBSU after serving as an assistant coach at Corona Del Mar High for both the boy's and girl's teams for two seasons. In 2006, under Gorham's direction, the girl's team won the CIF Division-II title.
Gorham began his coaching career at Brea High in 2002, and spent three seasons there before being named the head boy's coach at Sonora High in La Habra in 2005. Sonora went 10-15 and placed third in the league.
Currently working towards his degree in American studies at The Beach where he will graduate in May, Gorham played two years at Orange Coast Community College in 2000 and 2001, earning all-conference honors both years. He prepped at Brea Olinda High and was named All-CIF as a junior and senior.
