Connor Olbright Selected to U.S. Men's Team for Pan American Cup

LONG BEACH - Long Beach State's Connor Olbright (Orange, Calif.) was selected to the final 12-man roster for the U.S. Men's Pan American Cup team.
The seven-team Pan American Cup Tournament is being held at Juan de la Barrera Gymnasium in Mexico City, Aug. 19-25.
Olbright is one of four current college players on the squad. The 6-foot-4 setter is coming off a stellar junior campaign in which he earned second-team All-America honors from both the AVCA and Volleyball Magazine. He was also a second-team All-MPSF selection.
In 2013, Olbright guided the 49ers to their best season since 2008 as they went 24-8 and advanced to the MPSF Tournament finals. He finished the year ranked fourth in the nation with 10.86 assists per set, while also leading LBSU with 216 digs.
Olbright will enter his senior season ranked sixth in school history with 2,911 career assists.
Long Beach State men's volleyball director of operations Nick MacRae is also on the U.S. staff for the Pan American Cup as the Team Manager/Technical Coordinator.
