DeFalco, Ensing Earn VolleyMob First Team All-America Accolades

LONG BEACH – Following an incredible season in which they were named AVCA First Team All-Americans and won a National Championship, Long Beach State’s junior duo of TJ DeFalco and Kyle Ensing have been named to VolleyMob’s All-America First Team.

DeFalco, an outside hitter, finished the season with 3.62 kills per set to rank 17th in the nation, while adding 0.53 service aces, which led the Big West and is good for fifth in the NCAA. He also added 1.89 digs per set, 0.66 blocks per set, and a .377 attack percentage. The three-time AVCA All-American selection was named Big West Conference Player of the Year, All-Big West First Team, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and won the Karch Kiraly Award. DeFalco also recorded 1,000 career kills earlier this season to become the 21st player in program history to accomplish that feat.

Ensing, an opposite, earned the VolleyMob accolades after being named AVCA First Team All-American, All-Big West First Team, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and earning the Bryan Ivie Award. He finished the season with 3.55 kills per set to rank 18 th in the country, while adding 0.85 blocks per set 1.50 digs per set, and 0.36 aces per set. Ensing boasted a .355 attack percentage and joined DeFalco in the 1,000-kill club becoming the 22nd LBSU men’s volleyball player to reach the milestone.
