LONG BEACH - The Long Beach State men's volleyball program will host a VIP private event at Mahe in Seal Beach on Tuesday, March 11, to honor former star Brett Winslow. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to the general public with advance RSVP only. All proceeds from the event will benefit the LBSU men's volleyball program.

Winslow, who played for The Beach from 1988-1991 and was a member of the 1991 National Championship team, will have his jersey officially retired into the Walter Pyramid rafters prior to the match vs. Penn State on March 15. Winslow was also a two-time All-American and a 1996 Olympian.

Winslow will be part of a ceremony at Mahe to officially celebrate his jersey retirement. Attendees at the March 11 event will be treated to all-you-can-eat and drink from some of Mahe's most famous menu items, guest Olympic bartenders, live entertainment, and a silent auction. Additionally, LBSU Head Coach Alan Knipe will provide a mid-season update on his squad while introducing several former players that will be in attendance.

The intimate event is limited to just 60 people and advance RSVP is recommended by calling Ashley Bennett at 562-985-8743 or by emailing Ashley.Bennett@csulb.edu. Tickets are $100 per person.
