49ers will honor five seniors after Saturday's match against the Waves
2011: Saw action in three matches and eight sets ... Finished with a season-high five kills and a career-best six digs vs. Lewis on March 11 ... Registered his first career service ace against UC Irvine (April 6) ... Had three kills, two digs and one block in a 3-1 victory over UC San Diego on April 9.
2010: Appeared in 23 matches and 68 sets ... Totaled 24 kills and 10 blocks ... Had a career-high 11 kills against St. Francis on March 12 ... Also registered a season-best four digs and four blocks vs. the Red Flash.
2009: Played in 29 games on the season ... Finished with 22 kills (0.76/game), four digs (0.14/game) and 15 blocks (0.52/game) ... Had season-high nine kills, a .222 (9-5-18) hitting percentage and a season-high five blocks at BYU on March 26 ... Matched the five blocks against Pacific (April 4), when he also had three kills ... Finished with eight kills and a season-high three digs against UC Santa Barbara (Jan. 10).
High School: Lettered three years in volleyball at Los Alamitos High School ... First-team Press-Telegram Dream Team selection in 2007 ... Averaged 2.8 kills and 1.7 blocks per game his senior campaign ... A two-time first-team All-Sunset League pick and named a Volleyball Magazine "Fab 50" recruit ... Helped lead team to the 2007 CIF quarterfinals and the 2005 CIF semifinals ... Griffins won the 2005 Sunset League championship ... Coach was former 49er Phillip White.
Quick Facts: Member of the 2008 Men's Junior National Team that won the bronze medal at the NORCECA Continental Men's Junior Championship in San Salvador, El Salvador ... Also competed at the 2007 Youth National Training Camp and was MVP at the 2006 High Performance Development Camp ... Played for the LBC Volleyball Club for Darrick Lucero for three years and led the team to a gold medal at the 2005 Junior Olympics ...
