Long Beach State travels to northern San Joaquin Valley for their last tournament of the fall season, participating in the Pacific Invitational hosted by the University of the Pacific. The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins on Thursday, Oct. 31, with second round play on Friday, Nov. 1 and the final 18 holes concluding on Saturday, Nov. 2. All three rounds will take place at the par-71, 6,511-yard Stockton Golf & Country Club.
LBSU will be among a 12-team field that features Army, BYU, Charlotte, Denver, Fresno State, Kansas State, Nevada, Pacific, Santa Clara, Saint Mary's and UC Davis.
Junior JJ Holen, sophomores Daniel Chian and Kevin Lee and freshmen Andrew Stanfield and Agostino Milazzo will represent the 49ers at the Pacific Invitational.

LAST TIME OUT
Daniel Chiancaptured individual medalist at the Bill Cullum Invitational at the Wood Ranch Country Club in Simi Valley for his first career tournament win. Chian won by one-shot completing the 54-hole tournament at 10-under 206 after shooting rounds of 72-68-66. LBSU tied for seventh (20 teams) at 11-over 875 (292-293-290).
LBSU TAKES 10TH IN OHIO
The 49ers are coming off from a 10th place finish at the 12-team Jack Nicklaus Invitational in Columbus, Ohio. LBSU posted a 54-hole score of 55-over-par 907 (300-300-307) to finish nine shots ahead of Ball State in 11th and 11 strokes over North Carolina in 12th. Daniel Chian led the way for the 49ers, placing 26th with a 10-over 223, followed by fellow classmate Kevin Lee tying for 25th (+13) and JJ Holenfinishing in 43rd (+18).
LBSU BEGINS SEASON AT SAINT MARY'S INVITATIONAL
The 49ers off the 2013-14 campaign at the Saint Mary's Invitational in Seaside, Calif. LBSU finished in 12th place (19 teams) at 37-over-par 901 (305-288-308). Sophomore Kevin Lee was the top player for the 49ers, tying for 19th with a 54-hole score of 5-over 221, that was highlighted by a career-low 66 in the second round to post his first top-20 finish of the year. Junior JJ Holentied for 25th with a 7-over 223 (79-69-75).
BIG WEST CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNS TO SOBOBA SPRINGS
For the second consecutive year, the Big West Conference Men's Golf Championship returns to the Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto, Calif. The three-day tournament begins on April 27, with all nine teams competing for the Big West Championship and the automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
