LONG BEACH - This week's British Open will feature two former Long Beach State golfers that will take to the links at St. Andrews, Old Course, in St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland. Paul Goydos and Mark O'Meara will be preparing for Thursday's opening round as tee times were released on Monday.

O'Meara, a four-year letterwinner for the 49ers from 1976-79, will tee off at 2:15 a.m. (PST ) as he's paired with Byeong-Hun An and Stephen Gallacher. Goydos is scheduled to tee off at 7:48 a.m. (PST) as he's paired with Tim Petrovic and Jean Hugo.

O'Meara, a three-time All-American at LBSU and the 1976 Big West Conference champion, has played on the PGA Champions Tour since 2007. O'Meara recently won his first tournament on the Champions Tour as he and partner Nick Price won the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf in Savannah, Ga. O'Meara won The Masters and British Open in 1998 and the European Tour's Dubai Desert Classic in 2004.

For Goydos, this will only be his third time playing in the British Open as he missed the cut in 2008 and finished in 72nd last year. Goydos recently finished in second place at the John Deere Classic this past weekend in Silvis, Ill., where he became only the fourth player in PGA history to record a 59.
