The three-day tournament begins on Thursday.
Long Beach, Calif. - Men's Golf continues their fall season with a trip to the islands this week to participate in the John Burns Intercollegiate, featuring a large 18-team field playing at Wailua Golf Course on Kauai.
The tournament will feature three days of single-round play starting on Thursday, February 15, with the final round starting on Saturday, February 17.
Long Beach State is coming off of a third-place finish at the Waves Challenge hosted by Pepperdine that saw junior Andres Gonzalez finish in a tie for eighth place as the top finisher for the Beach.
Fellow juniors Joe Fryer and Patrick Pockels have also both led the Beach in team competition through the fall, giving LBSU a solid trio in advance of the tournament as well as Nick Cantlay, who leads the group this weekend. Hunter Reed rounds out the five that will represent the Beach in Hawai'i.
The field for the John Burns Intercollegiate features one of the Top 5 teams in the country in Texas A&M, and also four other Big West schools in CSUN, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara and the hosts, Hawai'i. Rounding out the field are Arizona, BYU, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, North Carolina, Northern Colorado, St. Mary's, UNC-Wilmington, UNLV, Utah and UTEP.
