Chian Tied For Third After Second Round At Pacific Invitaitonal

STOCKTON, Calif. - Daniel Chian fired a 3-under-par 68 in Friday's second round of the Pacific Invitational to tie for third place and lead Long Beach State to fifth.
LBSU posted a six-shot improvement from Thursday's opening round to record a 281 to remain just two shots behind Santa Clara (-2) in fourth and three strokes behind UC Davis (-3) in third. Second-place Saint Mary's (-6) holds a six shot lead over the 49ers. BYU leads the 12-team field by a comfortable 16-shot lead at 22-under 546.
Chian has a 36-hole score of 6-under 136 as he trails individual leader Joe Parkinson (-12) of BYU by six strokes.
Final round play concludes on Saturday with the 49ers teeing off at 8 a.m. with Santa Clara and Kansas State from the first tee.
