49ers in 14th place after opening round at Bill Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - After one round of play at the Bill Cullum Invitational, the Long Beach State men's golf team is currently in 14th place.

LBSU recorded an opening round score of 24-over par 300 and was 12-over in the second round when play was suspended due to darkness at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley.

San Diego leads the field of 20 teams by two strokes over Washington State in second and four shots over Arizona State in third.

Freshman Daniel Chian is currently the top player for LBSU as he's tied for 10th with an even-144.

Jon Rahm Rodriguez of Arizona State sits on top of the leaderboard at 7-under, holding a one shot lead.

Second round play will be completed on Tuesday morning prior to the final round.
