@LBSUmensgolf Wins OGIO-UCSB Intercollegiate Team Title

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Long Beach State recorded a tournament low 286 in the final round of the OGIO-UCSB Intercollegiate to capture the team title at Sandpiper Golf Course.
LBSU finished the two-day, 54-hole tournament at 5-over 869, winning their second tournament of the year by two shots over tournament host UC Santa Barbara (+7) in second and three strokes over Sacramento State (+8) in third.
Sophomore Kevin Lee led the way for LBSU, firing a final round 70 to finish in fourth at 1-under 215. Lee's scorecard was highlighted by one birdie and two bogeys on the front-nine and three birdies on the back.
Fellow classmate Daniel Chian finished one shot behind at even after carding a 71 to tie for fifth. Chian posted five birdies for the round and four bogeys.
Junior Kevin Techakanokboon placed 56th at 22-over after carding an 81.
Owen Taylor of Sacramento State captured individual medalist with a 4-under 212, holding a two-shot lead over two players tied for second.
LBSU returns to action Apr. 27-29, for the Big West Conference Championship at The Country Club at Soboba Springs in San Jacinto.
