March 6, 2018

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A fantastic final round from Joe Fryer carried Long Beach State into a tie for first place at the Sacramento State Invitational, as Fryer closed the tournament at 6-under par after a third round 67.

Fryer was locked in for his third round of play. After starting the day one-under par, Fryer sank a total of six birdies in route to a five-under 67. He would finish six-under 210 for the tournament, good for first place and earning individual medalist for the competition.

The win is the second of his career, as Fryer also won the Folino Invitational last season as a sophomore.
