Lee Moves Up After Second Round Of John A. Burns Intercollegiate

WAILUA, Kaua'i - Kevin Lee shot a 1-under-par 71 in Thursday's second round play of the 38th John A. Burns Intercollegiate at Wailua Golf Course to tie for 23rd place.
Long Beach State turned in another score of 292 to tie for eighth with No. 36 UNLV. The 49ers are 8-over 584 through 36-holes of play at the par-72, 6,991-yard course.
Lee climbed up the leaderboard from 40th after posting four birdies, 11 pars and three bogeys for the round.
JJ Holen and Kevin Techakanokboon are tied for 31st at 2-over 146. Holen carded a 74 that was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 10th and three birdies, while Techakanokboon posted a 75 with two birdies.
Agostino Milazzo moved up in the standings from 67th to tie for 39th with an even-72, a four shot improvement from Wednesday's opening round.
Daniel Chian recorded a 76 to tie for 64th at 7-over.
Fourth-ranked California continues to lead the field of 17 teams at 16-under 560 as the Golden Bears holds a nine stroke lead over No. 30 BYU and No. 12 Texas A&M tied for second at 7-under.
Justin Keiley of BYU leads the field of 90 players with a four shot lead at 10-under 134.
Final round play concludes on Friday with a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. (PST).
