49ers game against North Carolina will be televised on ESPNU

LBSU has become a regular on national television during the Monson era

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Long Beach State has picked up another television game. The 49ers home game against North Carolina on Friday, Nov.16, will be broadcast on ESPNU at 8 p.m.

The addition of the LBSU-UNC game to the ESPNU schedule brings the total number of home games broadcast on ESPNU to three. The 49ers could also pick up an ESPN2 game during the regular season's final week.

The 49ers, winners of back-to-back Big West Conference titles, will also host rivals UC Santa Barbara (January 30) and Cal State Fullerton (February 13) on ESPNU. Long Beach State's game at UC Davis on March 7 could be broadcast on ESPN2. The network will choose a "Wild Card" game between the 49ers-Aggies game and the Cal State Fullerton at UC Santa Barbara game at a later date.

Long Beach State has become a regular on national television during the Dan Monson Era. In his five seasons at the helm, the 49ers have had 50 games televised nationally, including 30 games on one of the ESPN networks. The remainder of LBSU's television games will be released at a later date.
