Anderson and Robinson receive national recognition on CollegeInsider.com All-America Teams

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Larry Anderson and T.J. Robinson have both claimed national recognition as part of CollegeInsider.com's postseason awards. Anderson is one of 17 players named to the 2012 Lefty Driesell Defensive All-America Team, while Robinson is one of 10 players on the Riley Wallace All-America Team which honors seniors who contribute to a team's success in all phases of the game throughout their careers.
Anderson (Long Beach, Calif./Jordan HS), who finished the season averaging 13.7 points and 4.9 rebounds, set a new Long Beach State career record for steals during his career with 206. He also ranks third in free throws made, sixth in scoring, seventh in assists, eighth in rebounding, and ninth in field goals made. He garnered Big West Conference Defensive Player of the Year accolades, spearheading an attack that held Big West opponents to a league-low 61.1 points per game. Behind Anderson, the 49ers had a 23-0 record when limiting an opponent to under 70 points. He had three or more steals on 11 occasions and amassed at least one steal in all but four games. The winner of the 2012 Lefty Driesell Award will be announced Friday in New Orleans, site of the NCAA Final Four.
Robinson (West Haven, Conn./Kolbe Cathedral HS) finished the season with 17 double-doubles to run his career total to 55. He averaged a double-double for the third straight year, finishing the season averaging 12.0 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. He ranked 11th nationally in double-doubles and 17th in rebounding. Robinson set the Big West Conference and Long Beach State records for career rebounds, finishing with 1,208 boards. His 347 rebounds this season ranks second all-time on the single season list at LBSU. In addition to ranking first in career rebounds at LBSU, he finished his career fourth in field goals made and free throws made, and fifth in scoring.
