Ware to compete in Final Four all-star game and 3-point shootout

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Casper Ware will participate in the Reese's College All-Star Game as well as the Hampton Hotels Men's 3-Point Championships later this week at the Final Four in New Orleans. Ware begins his experience with the 24th annual 3-point competition, which is part of the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-point Championships, at Fogelman Arena on the campus of Tulane University on Thursday. The 49ers' third all-time leading scorer will compete at 6 p.m. (PT) live on ESPN. He will battle seven of the nation's top 3-point shooters, including Marcus Denmon (Missouri), John Shurna (Northwestern), Juan Fernandez (Temple), Chace Stanback (UNLV), Bradford Burgess (VCU) and Nick Barbour (High Point). On Friday, Ware will be a member of the Reese's West All-Star Team in the annual National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) all-star game. Ware will team with nine other players on the West squad against the 10-member East team as part of Final Four Friday. The game will be played at 2:35 p.m. (PT) and will be televised on a tape delayed basis on TruTV Saturday at 10 a.m. (PT).
